This 40 sqm minimalist and modern apartment was designed for a pair that needs a flexible home that also serves as a workplace. We designed a flexible layout – using a movable barrier wall the apartment adapts to the current wishes and needs of the users transforming in seconds an open space apartment into a separate living room and bedroom. Further we formed the bulk of storage space as a line of built-in furniture, which runs along the entire apartment and incorporates also a couple of niches intended as working stations. Finally, due to a small number of windows and consequently lack of sunlight, we selected bright shades of furniture in grey and white that with addition of wood visually opens up the space, meanwhile the black details bring some contrast to its final look.
